About the Course

In Focus Sessions, advances in imaging of brain, spine, and paediatric oncologic imaging will be discussed. In addition, imaging of complications and emergencies in oncology, approach to incidental lesions in cancer patients, and applied molecular imaging will be highlighted.

Keynote Lectures will be delivered on CT colonography screening and on practice guidelines in cancer care. A Film Interpretation Session with teams of recognized experts offers insight in oncologic imaging and more... Scientific Sessions will present research in the field of imaging in oncology. There will also be scientific posters and the best paper and best poster will be awarded a prize. Twenty-three Workshops for smaller groups will focus on a wide range of clinical topics. In addition, registrants will have the opportunity to gain practical skills at "Hands-on" Workshops dedicated to CT colonography and diffusion-weighted MRI.

This course is designed for all radiologists, nuclear medicine physicians and other specialists interested in the diagnosis and management of oncology.

The meeting will be held in the beautiful city of Salzburg, Austria, allowing the ideal combination of education and social interaction.

The conference venue will be the Congress Centre located in the heart of Salzburg, adjacent to the Mirabell Gardens, within easy walking distance and close proximity to the attractions in the historic city centre - a World Heritage site. On Thursday, at the close of lectures, a Welcome Reception and short concert will be held at the nearby Residence Palace. The Residence is an enchanting venue which dates back to 1232 and served as a court for Salzburg's archbishops, who ruled into the 19th century. The Course Dinner on Friday will take place at the Restaurant M32 at the Mönchsberg, overlooking the city of Salzburg.
