Gigin Lin
Dr. Gigin Lin is a physician-scientist specializing in medical imaging and cancer research. He holds an M.D. from Chang Gung University and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the Institute of Cancer Research at the University of London. He is currently a Professor of Radiology at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taiwan. His translational research bridges clinical radiology and computational sciences, focusing on AI-enabled imaging for cancer detection, treatment monitoring, and biomarker discovery. A Fellow of the International Cancer Imaging Society, he has received national awards and international recognition, including invited lectures at ISMRM and RSNA.
Dr. Lin’s research integrates advanced imaging, molecular biomarkers, and artificial intelligence to improve cancer diagnosis and treatment. His work spans molecular imaging with CT, PET, and MRI to identify imaging surrogates of tumor biology; clinical metabolomics to discover novel biomarkers and therapeutic targets; and AI-driven tools such as automated tumor segmentation, radiomics analysis, and outcome prediction across multiple cancers. He has also advanced Hyperpolarised C13 MRI, developing metabolic biomarkers to enhance treatment response. Through these multidisciplinary efforts, Dr. Lin aims to translate cutting-edge imaging and computational technologies into precision oncology applications that directly impact patient care.
