International Cancer Imaging Society

Message from the President

Greetings! As President of the International Cancer Imaging Society, I would like to welcome you to our website. Through our Annual Teaching Course, one-day ICIS interactive hands-on-workshops, satellite meetings and publications in our journal ‘Cancer Imaging’, our society is committed to providing high quality education to all medical professionals involved in the care of cancer patients.

In 2017, our 17th Annual Teaching Course will be held in Langenbeck-Virchow Haus in Berlin, Germany. The course will feature formal lectures, pro and con sessions, interactive sessions with audience response systems, hands-on workshops, scientific presentations and a poster exhibition.

A unique format of live-case workshops will be possible due to the cooperation with hospitals in Berlin. Delegates will be able to attend treatment of cancer patients with interventional techniques such as radiofrequency ablation, microwave ablation, transarterial chemoembolization and radioembolization. As numbers of places are limited early registration for these courses is highly recommended.

The meeting venue is in the very centre of Berlin which is in walking distance of many famous attractions such as the Reichstag building, Brandenburg gate, museum island and many others.

I look forward to seeing you in Berlin for our traditional mixture of high-end education, networking and social events!
