The 2nd RSSA/ICIS Cancer Imaging Course

The 2013 Cancer Imaging Course has been established to meet the important challenges of advancing imaging in the multidisciplinary management of cancer. The course offers an extremely well balanced and full programme, presented by an international faculty of 12 highly distinguished international oncological radiologists. They will focus and address a wide variety of topics important to daily practice as well as the basics of cancer imaging.
Clinical oncologists, radiotherapists, oncology surgical specialists, radiotherapy as well as diagnostic radiographers will gain enormous benefit from this course. It is designed for everyone with a special interest in Oncology.

The well balanced programme features the assessment of incidental lesions to the emerging role and application of diffusion weighted imaging and diffusion tensor imaging in cancer diagnosis and management. Dedicated sessions on advanced MRI imaging of the breast and prostate gland and novel treatment modalities such as MRI high intensity focussed ultrasound (HIFU) will open new horizons.
The assessment of treated patients and diagnosis of emergencies in patients with cancer receive special attention.
All fees are quoted in South African Rand.
